Madame's News

Hello bitches! Happy July Fourth.

I trust you know how fortunate we are to live here. I’ve been on a brief journey to the Middle East for R & R. Quite decadent actually. And I realise how fortunate I am at every turn when I was in Beirut, Lebanon and Istanbul, Turkey.

I had a sensual massage at the Kempinski Summerland Hotel in Beirut and the next day had an invigorating hamam scrub at Aya Sofya Hamam, in the old section of Istanbul. It was originally built in 1551 for the Sultans and has been recently restored to its original splendour. I went early and was the only one there so I felt like a Sultana. It’s a great cleansing ritual. If you’d like details, I’d be glad to oblige you!

I had great meals and great company; in fact, some foot pets had my tasty toes for lunch!

The best dessert ever! Cotton candy-like rose-flavoured sugar around home-made ice cream. Ghazi el benet:

It was nice to explore the early Christian monasteries in the mountains of Lebanon, the ancient Phoenician and Roman ruins everywhere, modern museums in Beirut and listen to the history and current political situation there. It kept reminding me how fortunate I am to live here in the USA and be able to visit other cultures and come home.

Lodging outside Beirut:

Istanbul was seeing dear friends, enjoying great food and lots of pampering. I’ll always be drawn back. There’s a strong magnetic pull that’s brings me back to this fascinating, colourful, energised city.

Wouldn’t you love to be my subbie boy and accompany me?
